About the Instructor: You can usually find Alison behind the counter at So, There. She refers to the shop as her baby, but her real passion lies in paper goods. She uses her background and degree in design as much as she can while making stuff (paper), designing and printing greeting cards (on paper), and solving all sorts of problems (usually with paper.)

2-PART LITTLE LETTERPRESS CLASS

Generally 6-8PM | Age 14+, 21+

Ever wondered how we take our designs from art to the little press? In this two part class (two 2-hour classes) we’ll give you an inside look into our process, and give you a chance to make your own stationery cards.

Class 1: Developing your design.
We’ll go over the strengths and weaknesses of printing on the press, then work from a library of resources to come up with our own custom designs. We will polish up those designs, and talk about the methods of digitizing them. Then, 2 weeks later we’ll have your designs on plates, all ready to print.

Class 2: Printing, folding, & Trimming. We’ll walk you through our method of printing with the little letterpress, talk about the best kinds of paper to use, and answer any of your questions. Then we’ll mix up an ink color, and get printing! At the end of the day you’ll have a handful of cards to send out to everyone you know.

Bring: An apron or clothes that can get a little dirty.

Instructor: Alison Lang

Cost includes all materials, art processing, and cleanup.
Min/Max: 3/6

Private Class Rate: $240 for up to 3 Students, $80 for each additional student*

*Location Fees not included.
